Our CEO
David R DePhillips, CEO & Founder of Cater Waiters, previously worked n the hospitality and food industry for more than fourteen years and had worked in the staffing industry for 16 years. Mr. DePhillip’s previous experience includes working in the Food & Beverage Departments of some of the most prestigious hotels in the Philadelphia area, notably the Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons Hotels. Mr. DePhillips also managed events for the Philadelphia based catering company with the exclusive rights to the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archeology and Anthropology and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.

Cater Waiters is bonded and carries workers compensation and general liability insurances. As required by law, staff members are Cater Waiters employees, not independent contractors. Therefore, all appropriate taxes are covered by Cater Waiters. For client convenience and protection, all of these items are covered as part of Cater Waiters all inclusive pricing.

Cater Waiters can assist with very small to very large events. We service weddings, corporate events, bar and bat mitzvah’s, birthdays, anniversaries and much more.. We can help with your event whether at a museum to a private resident.

All new hires are screened and background checked.
We usually recommend to book your event as far out in advance as possible. We appreciate a notice of two weeks but certainly will look to help in situation when you have only 24 hours or same day needs.
Four Questions To Ask Your Hospitality Company
If the company you use does not carry professional liability insurance, you may be held liable for theft or damages caused by their staff while working for you.
You incur considerable risk using a company which classifies its staff as 1099 contractors rather than W2 employee.
Any company can hire people and put them out on jobs, but your expectations may be higher than what they provide. You always want to know how much experience the company has in the industry and what service level standards they require of their staff.
Your agency should be doing pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background checks.
